what is valentine's day?

I've been wandering about this myself too. I said why we celebrating it and why do we have to hightlight this day? When did this started and the history behind it. To me Valentines day is just just a normal day to me. Nothing really special to me on this day. I have never celebrate it myself big. Maybe I got flowers from suitors but that's it. Or have a date.
