Writing gibberish for money... that makes me mad

Tonight i checked the discussions i've started to read the new posts and also to comment on things that i could comment on. one of my discussions, "start by buying a house", actually has decent responses. not a lot, but all of the responses are good, sensible and related to the discussion. then one guy posted a bunch of gibberish, his post "ggiuuihihyy" and a bunch of other gibberish. Now i'm pissed off. i joined my lot originally to earn a little extra, in the one week that i've been hear, i already 'abandoned' my former boards/forums and decided to stick with mylot. i like mylot a lot. and now, this person just ruins one of my discussions with his gibberish. i'm pissed off. i guess there are people here on my lot who will post gibberish to make a few extra cents. and it's just unfair to the members who actually post quality, sensible comments. i hope that person doesn't get paid for that post. i'm soooooo mad right now.

I haven't seen anything that bad, but I have some seen posts that were quite unneccesary and obvioulsy meant for making a cent. When I see those types of discussions I usually just stay away. The one thing you can do is rate that person a -. Regardless of what some people might say, I still believe your rating has a direct impact on the amount of money you make per post. It'll happen every where. People who abuse the system. What makes it worse here, is that they abuse the system for what, an extra cent? Just doesn't seem worth it to me.

well this person typed just a bunch of gibberish. not even a word actually. not even a hello or a hi or a yes or a maybe. just 4 lines of random letters. i gave him a negative rating, so that's justice served already. and an extra cent doesn't seem worth it. sorry i'm really really really mad right now. these people are the scums of the earth and should be banned from mylot. there, just typed/said what i'm thinking and i feel much better. for an extra cent... sigh.

I hope you feel better. That is one thing about this place, it's a great place to sometimes rant and get things out. Funny thing, there always seems to be some one willing to listen. Go ahead...get it out. Let it go.

I think myLot has a pattern detection it follows and that would definitely not even account for a word. He might've gotten a penny for his post. Hopefully. I am at 200 posts and I feel I post quality responses, but have only earned $5. MyLot should really be about liking discussion with people around the world and earning a bit for your part. I don't like people who take advantage of it, but there are people who take advantage of everything from children to state aid, so I don't think we'll be changing that around myLot.

oh so there is justice in mylot. good. i just hate it that people do that. as i said i'm initially after the earnings, but now it's not about that anymore for me. i really do enjoy being part of mylot. btw i have over 120 posts and i have $3, so i guess yours is pretty much average. thank you for posting, i hope people like him gets banned.

Luckily, every few days Mylot goes through and gets rid of those people. They are annoying as anything and it bugs me to no end to see them, but I know they'll be out of here when the admins do another sweep. All we can do is report them, then grit our teeth and bear it.
