Imperfect tenses....

How would I revise the perfect and imperfect tenses without getting them mixed up

Two steps here: make sure you know when you would use one, and when you would use the other. Then remember, perfect two words, imperfect one. The perfect always uses an auxiliary and the imperfect adds endings.
