My mother used to call me Sadie when I was growing up. I have yet to ask here why. Another was Grace. But, I know it was because I am not the most graceful person. I can trip over a hair in the carpet. My sisters called me Sissy because they couldn't pronounce my name. Did people often call you by a name that was not your given name, and if so, what was that name?

Only when someone was being mean. Kids used to call me four eyes because I wore glasses. My younger sister called me big bird, cause I am tall. But then I called her monkey, haha. My husband used to call me Maggie. My step daughter calls me Lynn, thats my middle name. Other than that no other nick names.

A neighbor man of ours when I was about 6 always called me Sam. I was friends with his daughter and he would always call me Sam...not sure why, but I saw him just a few years back and he called me Sam still. LOL It's been almost 30 years! LOL In school, I was always called Murphy or Murph (Murphy is my maiden name)...to this day, the people I graduated with call me Murph. :)

I had a co-worker that called me Sam from the day I started working there and even after I left the place. I became good friends with him and his wife. She called me by my true name, he continues to call me Sam.

Wow you have had an assortment of nick names! LOL I have never had a nick name till I began working at a grocery store. There were 3 women worked their with the same first name as me so we were all given nicknames so they could communicate over the speaker system to the correct person. My nickname was CC.

Well my real first name is Mari-Lynn. My grandfather started calling me Lynna when I was little. Then it became Lynnaston, when I was about 10 our horse bit my arm as I was carrying in hay. He thought the hair across my arm was more hay...lol So then I became Lynnaston Hayhair. My hair really was the color of hay...:) My brother and sister called me "Sister Mari Elephant" after the skit "sister mary elephant" that was special.. I couldn't wait to outgrow sibling name calling. Now I'm just Mari...and that's fine with me. Although my uncle still calls me Lynna.

Oh yea. Bad ones, at least ones you don't really want your potential boy friends to know about. My name is Serena so my younger brothers would call me wena right? Well my older brothers by 8 years and 6 nick named me weiner. So lovely and it has stuck to me to this day. Imagine this; you are in a store like Walmart and you father calls from across the way "weiner I need you" How embarrasing.

This topic brought back some memories, some good and some bad. The bad was the memory of being called *Fatty Four Eyes* at school, I guess I don't have to explain why. :-( I was also nicknamed the Blond Bombsite after I bleached my hair, again not the nicest memory. however, my favourite nickname is, in fact, my user name and i guess that also says it all.

My cousins used to call me Beggsy (because they'd get ME to beg for things as I was the girl and supposedly had a better chance at getting it LOL), my family calls me BZ (because we have 3 people in my family with the same first name and those are my first initials), My friends in high school called me "Lips" (no comment.. it wasn't dirty though so don't think like that! LOL). I'm sure I've also been called a few other names that I don't want to know too! LOL

I started off life as "beauty" because my dad thought my cheeks were the color of roman beauty apples. That ended up turning into beauts by a number of people. I still answer to Ally, Beauty, or Beauts.

I've had many nicknames. I'm a triplet, but I was always the triplet that was easiest to identify. I don't look like my sisters, so everyone gave me a new nickname each time they met lol. My first nick name was tata. I think that came from me having a lisp. My second one was thawthan, that was also due to my lisp. lol thank God I went to speech therapy. While in high school, my friends called me the golden one. After that, my last nickname, which is what it is today, is sus.

I have been called Smilie every since I can remember. I just love to smile. It seems to keep me looking young. I do have my bad days but all and all I tend to smile alot. I remember my best friend in school told me one time that if I got hit by a mac truck that when they peeled me off the ground I would have a big smile on my face. I don't mind though a smile goes a long way and sometimes makes someone's day.
