do you think that chess grandmasters are made or are they born? Not everyone can make queen sacrifices playing another strong player with an ELO rating of over 2100 and still win the game.Robert Fischer, Garry Kasparov, Vishy Anand, Mikhail Tal ...were these born or made?

It takes a few years of concentrated effort to be a grandmaster. Anyone can become a grandmaster with effort and dedication. But then if you want someone to play like a Tal or Kasparov or Karpov or Fischer then it is impossible. Kasparov didn't want to play like Karpov because his liking for creative possibilities were different. So it is unique to every person how he wants to play. Some people like to sacrifice and be creative while others like play just positional chess. But it is true that you need some special training, mindset and zeal to be a top Grandmaster.
