I want to ask "YOU" how you gain respect from other cliques. Do you act cooler? Act different than you usually do? I know I do if i was a new kid at school and need some friends. What I do is, I dress different, talk different and act different. Those are probaly the main reasons to be accpeted to a cool gang of friends. It kind of depends who you want to hang out with though... Tell me a way "YOU" gain respect?

I'm a bit different than some. But I will never, ever, change who I am in order to gain respect from others. I can live my life happily without the cool clique liking me. I take this approach to everything in life, and it's worked out for me so well. I don't try NOT to be cool, though. Which is often in contrast to some. In High school, these cliques get apparent and bad. The cool kids dress cool, the goth kids dress goth. And they often hate each other. I wasn't in a clique. I was friends with whoever had something interesting to say. And in being just myself, I gained more respect from all of the cliques. They knew who I was, what I stood for. And even though I never wanted or asked for their respect, I got it. So I just... act like myself. I highly suggest it to everyone. ^.^

The best way to be respected is to respect yourself. It's a tough lesson to learn and most young kids or teenagers don't know how to do it until they are older. You really do have to learn to not care what others think, and if someone thinks bad of you, because someone always will...to just let it roll off your shoulder without trying to prove to them that youre not a bad person. Who cares what people think?
