My baby is 7 months old. He was exclusively breastfed till he was 6 months and was doing just fine. now he has had some added formula (one bottle per day) and some solids. He has now stopped drinking and eating hardly at all. The only time he wants to drink is at night, from me. I don't have a problem with this but I am worried as he is having hardly any wet nappies. Also, he is only eating a tiny amount of solids per day. How do I make him take more? Help....

When my baby was at that age, he rarely ate as well. Could it be that your little one is teething or going through a growth spurt or possibly not feeling well?
Teething was the number one culprit for my child's anguish. He'd have a rash around his mouth, drooling, chewing, biting, hardly eating, sleeping a lot and just plain miserable.
When a baby goes through a growth spurt (as well as not feeling well), they tend to just want to either eat a lot or not eat as much.
Don't dispare...just keep your eye on him and make sure he gets some foods in him. What little he's getting could be enough for him now.

if i were you, id take him to a doctor or see your health visitor about it, ive never had this problem because my baby was bottle fed from day one. maybe they could help you out here and give some great advice if not then just try and give him it, he won't go hungry after all because he will eat and drink when he is hungry! hope you get this sorted out! :o)

First I would ask the dr but I would think he needs more too. Try different things such as juice and water and in sipee cups also try some of your milk in cups as he may just have the taste for your milk and if so maybe you can train him to get to drinking your milk only from cuo and then switch. I have heard of children 4 and 5 years old still nursing to me this is to far . Teaching snd learning is what we are here for and hopefully you can resolve this. Watch him to ensure he is gettingenough liquids.
