I have been with eBay almost from its beginning. I have seen a lot of changes for the better so people would not be scammed or spammed. Then comes the changes that are not so good (higher fees), but then are understandable for growth. However, I have sold and bought hundreds of items with success and have little to fear. I have had troubles with buyers and sellers, but the amount is minute compared with teh successes. I have tried the copycatter auctions and found more problems than with ebay. So what is your opinion?

I have been buying from ebay for years but I do not sell on it. I tend to give my things away. I offer then to family first and if they dont need it, I then take it to the local thrift store. We just donated a washer, dryer and black smooth top stove last week. I only used the stove for about 3 months. It was a nice one. My daughter sells her baby clothes on ebay all the time.

I have not used it very often, but so far, it has been ok. There have been times when I have worried that I might not be getting what I bid for. I hope that it gets better, and that all the people that try to rip others off can be stopped. I have friends that have practically started a business on ebay, and have made a lot of money. I have never sold anything, but perhaps I will in the future.

I have never used it yet. I have not take the rest to care about it yet... But my brother uses it regularly, he sells CDs, DVDs, books, and he also buys parfume, books, and many different things. So I know I should check it, because it must be a good possibility to sell what I do not need... and earn a little money:)

I have been on ebay for a few years now, and I love it. I have both sold and bought on ebay, and have had no problems at all. I see that they are constantly up dating information to keep their users safe from any kind of spam or getting their information out, and that. I really look for that in a site to make sure that my bank and credit card information stays safe.

I like ebay, i have both sold and purchused items on ebay and all of the transactions have gone rather smoothly only once did we have a problem with something that was purchused and it was reported and that person was removed for fraud! I have yet to find another auction site that runs as smoothly as ebay!

I would definatly trust it as I have been registered with it for about 5 years now and I've bought and sold things and nothing has not gone to plan. Also my father has had it for longer than me and he's had no trouble with it at all, he's absolutely addicted to it!

Overalll, I have bought and Sold with Ebay for many years as well. Not since the beginning I don't think, but I have been there for quite a few yrs. The Fees are a little high though now in my opinion. I have thought of doing a store though, and see if that would work better for me, as I have a ton of stuff I need to sell. But not sure which is best. But I Love Ebay. Too bad their fees now eat up a lot of my profits.

i have been on ebay about 2 years but was buying on my mothers name for a while before i was old enough to get a name myself. i usually buy candles, penpal supplies, baby clothes, etc. I do trust it because they have informed so many people about the scams from it. i never had any problems from it either.

I trust Ebay but not all it's sellers. I had bought a pair of Nike shoes once and never recieved them. I did a claim against the seller with Ebay, and few month later, Ebay paid me back my money. I have trust and can count on Ebay, not all the people that sell in Ebay. If you want to buy something from Ebay, make the seller has a rating of at least 500-600 and make you check people's feedback that they leave for the seller.

yeah but u still have small % of people that try to scam people specially when they say they are in Nigeria u just dont contact them or someone who wants the products first and then pay or send everything to third party and they will verify and then xachange is done. but ebay is mostly good. lots people been there for a while and reading the feedback always help to distinguish bad from good

I used to love Ebay - but am a bit neutral towards it at the moment. I have had problems with many buyers and sellers recently. Both UK based and also from Nigeria. It has changed over the past few years from a nice place with almost a community feel to a place that there are a number of good ebayers, a number of trouble makers and a number of scammers. The feedback system is also getting abused now - people are setting up accounts and leaving neagtive feedback - even though they have never paid. I think that Ebay will also become a victim of its own success. The profits that sellers can make now are so small. But always think - if it looks too good to be true - it probably is

I trust it. I've bought and sold hundreds of things over the years, and it's all been great. My account was even stolen once, and eBay gave me my account back right away and cleared all fraudulant auctions from my account. I have not reason to distrust them.

I used to be an ebay power seller and i had a great business going until another seller started selling the same thing as me and started reporting my auctions for the most stupid of things, things which did not break any rules for but he reported them none the less and my auctions would be removed i would have to spend days emailing and phoning ebay to no avail it caused me no end of stress at home so i eventually just gave up and packed it in. since then i've bought various things on ebay but i find it way too easy to scam people, it's a haven for fraudsters and ebay don't seem to do much about it so i use it as little as possible now.

I trust Ebay a great deal and I believe that it gives many people an opportunity to have a successful home business. I have been a member of Ebay for a couple of years now and I even had a store for a while. I think it is unfortunate that the media features the dishonest people on Ebay who sell stolen merchandise..there are a lot of honest, hard working buyers and sellers on Ebay. They are the people that make Ebay great and they deserve the spotlight.

I TRUST it, yes. But I'm very frustrated with Ebay as a seller. I mostly sell books, and have not been doing well on Ebay. So most of my books are listed on Amazon, and I'm having much greater success.

I have been an Ebay member for years. I trust them completely! To prevent scamming, read the negative reviews, talk to the seller before buying and triple-read the entire description. If you aren't a sucker, ebay is a fantastic site.
