We will be flying with a 5 month old and I am alittle nervous. It will be a 4.5hr flight and I was wondering if anyone had any advice. I have been told not to worry if she cries. She is usually a great baby so I don't think I have anything to worry about but, I'm a first time mom...

Bring a pacifier or a bottle or something for her to suck on when you are going up and landing because her ears will pop. Bring something for her to play with and make sure you bring something for her to eat and drink. Bring a change of clothing in your carry on just in case she has an accident. This has happened to me before. My sons have flown since they were both 6 weeks old. It's not a big deal. When they are that young they usually sleep. It's a problem more when they start walking because they want to get up and move around.

oh, I meant to say, bring your stroller to the gate and check it there. Do the same thing with the car seat if you are bringing one. Way less of a chance of them losing and/or damaging either item. Make sure she doesn't wear shoes because you will have to take them off going through security and that's a pain while you are trying to take off your shoes too and put all the stuff on the thing to go through x-ray. That's the worst part I think.

the poping ears could potentially be a problem which could make ur child fussy.. try asking your pediatrician if there is anything u can do to ease the altitude pressure.. if she were old enough id say just have her chew gum, but at 5 months thats just not going to work, nor would it be a good idea. that aside i think it will be fine though! best of luck to you
