following up on the "dancing baby"

As parents we have to "force" our children to do alot of things that they do not want to do. Sometimes this can be an ongoing effort. Dance class or any other art form a parent may choose to place infront of their child is not really any different than "forcing" them to go to school and get an education now is it really? I really am suprised as far as the one sidedness the responses were to my topic. Being an international site i guess i expected more of a half and half respose. Is it not what parents do in China? Demand high perfomance out of their children and well roundedness?
