Searching for a new job!

Well there are tons of books and websites on this, but seeing as how part of my job is helping people find jobs, I should be able to share some tips. I think my most important tip is, to find a good job, you must network. If you expect people to just walk up to you and offer you a great job you are going to be waiting for a long time. You have to put yourself out there. Start with friends and family, let them know you are looking for a new job, ask where they work, find out if they like it, and if their companies have any openeing that might be suitable for you. If so, maybe they can put a good word in for you with the people who do the hiring (a manager or the HR department). Really every person you know is part of your "network". Your school's alumane office is also a good place to network. Another tip is to put together a resume and post it on an internet job search sites like www.moster.com or www.careerbuilder.com. Craigslist.org is also a good place to look for jobs. I hope this is a help.
