Seems nowadays communicating via the internet has replaced writing letters, telephone calls, and face to face contact with folks.
People are using the computers as replacements for normal eye to eye contact with their fellow human beings. Friendship via the internet are replacing real friendship in the real world.
Some people have said they do not like talking on the telephone and rather have discussions via the internet versa.
What is our society turning into???? We are becoming an anti-social world? God help us.
Your comments please.

It depends on the person. I have one daughter that only uses a computer for business. She'd much rather spend time with her friends, face to face, going out, shopping, etc. My other daughter would be very happy to never go out of the house again. If I let her, she would stay in front of the computer all the time.

not only friends, even in offices there is an awareness programme going on to let them talk to friends over pho0ne rather than chat over the net (intranet within the office itself). The world will evetually turn into a place where people never meet others but are always glues to their computers.

I'm an avid letter writer. I could write pages and pages for just one letter. I learned the art of letter writing from my paternal grandparents who lived five hundred miles from me. I loved them so much!
But now I find that many people don't want to or like to write letters. So yes the internet has taken the place of face to face eye contact. And no it hasn't because I have a web cam and I can see persons I'm talking to on the internet. And you can also send instant pictures over the internet. It's very fast and inexpensive.
