I kinda need feedbacks from those who tried freespire, the graphics look awsome and it looks like a modern OS, i really love the graphics and they way that folders and files are managed. Has anyone used it? is there any drawbacks? any problems and bugs? can u get Automatix for it or do u have to take care of everything yourself?wiki.freespire.org

which version are u using ? is freespire 1 the stable release or is it the new one under developement, i jus checked the release notes for the Freespire 2 Alpha 3, and there are so many things wrong with it. I read some bad reviews on Freespire i guess i need to try it on Live CD first ,CD how it goes before installing it.

Okie i downloaded it, burned the iso image, and used the live version. It really looks great, the best linux OS looking i have ever seen, it point in the rite direction, it has a good future, but not now , there is more work to be done, orgainising better communties and online help and stuff like that the other Linux Distros have, it is kinda all over the place rite now and not very reliable.

You could try kubuntu. If interested visit www.kubuntu.org anyway this discussion is about freespire not ubuntu.

Freespire is a good thing but I prefer somothing more substantial, like Debian. You see, Freespire is based on Debian. You can use everything that belongs to Debian, all repositories and feaures but I prefer to work with 'raw' things.
