The crowded malls, the indecisiveness of what to buy, the fear of being suckered into buying something you don't want -- these are just some of the reasons why men aren't too keen on shopping. For ages, women have been the ones that called each other up and made dates with one another to spend the entire day shopping for clothes, purses, accessories, and lest we forget their favorite: shoes. Guys, on the other hand, groan at the idea of having to head to the mall, especially with their women. They abhor the idea of trying on clothes, wandering around aimlessly, then carrying a busload of bags to the car, most of which don't belong to them anyway. Guys go shopping with the intent of purchasing specific items whereas women will usually roam around until something catches their eye. I find if i tell my husband exactly what I'm going for, he will usually agree to come with me. Or I will write up a list so he can see what i need to get and he can help me find it.

I know that men hate shopping. But I am different. I enjoy shopping, even with my wife. I don't buy what I can't afford and we don't do shopping every other day. We do shopping only when we have to buy something. For groceries we will got to the supermarket about twice a week and fill up the refridgerator.

I find that some men hate shopping because they do not know how to shop. My ex could not shop to save his life. I once left him with $50 in addition to a fully stocked house, just in case he ran out of something while I spent a couple of days in the hospital. The next day, he came to me needing more money for groceries. He had no clue where the money had gone. If I had gone shopping, the money would have lasted me for the rest of the week with what was already in the house. My kids are different. They do not mind going shopping, and actually like to go with me because they can help choose what we buy. Some of the previous responses have stated that women wander aimlessly and spend hours looking before we decide what we want to buy. I find that is just as true of men. Personally, I do not want to spend hours looking. I try to carry a list, although I often buy extras if they catch my eye as I pass them. As for clothes shopping, my sons take much longer deciding on clothes than I do. I may pick up a couple of items and look at them. If they fit, look good, and are priced right, I'm done. My boys, especially my oldest may stand there and debate on something for twice as long before finally adding it to the cart. Shopping is an individual thing, and maybe more women enjoy it than men do, but I would not say that all men hate it.

Well, I think lots of men do like a shopping but not as much as women do. Like women prefer shopping anything anywhere they want to until they drop, but men just have in their mind what they're gonna shopping.
