My Birthday Party!

Hey all! My birthday is coming up and I'm looking forward to a great party. The problem is that I don't have a location yet! I enquired about hiring a hall and having music playing on the loud speakers; but I told it was around $500 just for a night! I want heaps of my mates. family and friends to come. Can anybody suggest a cool location? My birthday is in the coming-up fortnight monday; so i'm hoping to hold it either sunday or saturday (night). Do you think having it in the park would be okay? How should I approach the problem of not having speakers (therefore; no music playing out loud for my guests)? Looking forward for suggestions about a not so expensive and great location to celebrate my birthday.
