Karthik, All this while i belived that the Australians are definetely beatable. But the opposition lacked the aggressiveness and the game ploy to defeat them.the Australians were good at playing mind games thats what gave them the edge.None of the temas were playing against team Auatralia they were playing against the reputaion of Australians.thats where they lost, now since the Australia cricket team does not have their key players, the opposition teams feel they can beat Australia,if u have the psychological edge u have won half the battle.

Very true ... The Australian team is affected psychologically now. Retirements and injuries had a done world of change to the team and the players mindset. Cricket is a very strong MIND game... Lets C how they overcome and perform in the World Cup .. They would prefer starting fresh for the world cup !!

Hi, if 3 or 4 legends are playing at the same time in any team, it will remain invincible. For example, windies were so during the days of richards, sobers, marshal, holding, garner, walsh, ambrose etc. Similarly, australians were invincible due to the presence of mcgrath, warne, martin, langer etc. mainly the first two. Now one by one, they are retiring and it's very difficult to find their replacements overnight for they are special talents. To add insult to injury, symonds and some other key players are injured. It's no wonder that australia is finding the going very difficult, loosing their 4th straight odi. Even in world cup, any team should be able to beat them on their day. Now this will be interesting to see, how they cope up with periodic thrashing by other teams. Also interesting will be the world cup, which is by far the most "open" world cup, without any clearcut tournament favourites.

What you say is very true ... This world cup is looking very open like the 1992 world cup. The predictions for this World Cup from several "so-called" Expert panels and Sports Journalists are South Africa, Australia, India and Pakistan.. Lets C how the world cup goes .. I personally think that the Australian team is quite tired mentally and physically after the tiring Ashes series. That was a big relief for them and no time to rest really after the Ashes. Also, the retirements and injuries to match-winners had held them !!

What do you think,Aussies are Gods or what not to get defeated? Its a question of time.Just wait for a month and see what Aussies are going to do.I predict a defeat for Australia by a nondescript team.
