How can you tell whether you're in a relationship which is "on the rebound?"

When I broke up with my Albert, I immediately had a boyfriend in 3 weeks' time. Some people say it might be that my feelings for my present boyfriend are "rebound feelings." But I think not... So let me ask you people, how can you say that I am or someone is in a relationship which is on the rebound? Thanks : )

I think the only thing that reveals the true feelings is time; you need to wait it out to see if your feelings toward this new guy are genuine, or if they simply dwindle. If they subside, I think it's pretty safe to say that you're involved in a "rebound" relationship.

The way I see it, a relationship is rebound if it started after you just broke up with your ex, most likely skipping the part of grieving and healing from your past relationship. My two cents :) I read something from wikipedia I tought Id share : http://wiki.answers.com/Q/What_is_a_rebound_relationship
