Hiccups- Three days Non Stop!

On The Today show one of the guests is a teenager who has had the hiccups for three days and she need help to sleep and it is painful. Do you have any remedies to stop the hiccups? If you want to check out the story here is the link:

the only thing that comes to mind is sip water thruogh a handkercheif or try to scare the hiccups out of them. My daughgter can get tehm bad and they are loud gets on your neverve and she just has to let them run there cource. Therr days a very long time maybe a doctor can help

I was on Tv that a couple of days ago they stopped, but as she has tried dozzens of way to get rid of them they don't know which one it was that worked.

I've heard of putting your head between your legs and putting a paper bag from the grocery store over your head. I never tried them and can't say if they work or not. I've never had hiccups for more than a few minutes and THAT cn be very annoying. Can't imagine putting up with them for three days! Poor kid.

no remedies- except for a teaspon of sugar folllowed by sucking of a lemon- it used to work for me.
My in laws knew a man from their church that had the hiccups for years- the poor man was miserable- there was nothing the dr could do for him. After so many years with no help he finally gave up and killed himself. I hate it when I get them! I can't even imagine having them for that long - no sleep- can't eat without hicupping, how horrible!

drink water ... eat sugar or sneeze ... and if u still cant get rid of them then try breathin in a paper bag ... its the best folk remedy
