Have you ever been stabbed in the back by someone you really trusted?

I've had this happen a few times and could never quite understand another persons motivation for stabbing someone else in the back. Whether it's hitting on your mate, gossiping a secret you've told, stealing a job out from under you....Give an example of how you've been stabbed in the back and who did it? Did the relationship ever recover?

Yeah many times.. i want to share the recent one.
I have an officemate. we 've been together in a team. Ive been very friendly to that person, i've shared some of my personal thoughts, i bond with her and the rest of the group.I thought that i can trust her as a team mate. But one day, i was shocked when she accidentally wrong type in my window chat a message supposed to be to other oficemate, but in the sentence , its very clear she is pertaining to me. I was a bit mad at that time, i did not first belive what ive read. BUt as soon as i was able to find out a proof that she is talkin about me, i then realize that i will not trust her anymore.

Unfortunately I have always been a very trusting soul, thinking the best of everyone. I was betrayed by someone I thought was a real mate, I let me move into my house when she was homeless, and she was in the house for a year. During that time she never once gave me any money towards the expenses, she "borrowed" my clothes, my money, my food, and when I finally reached the point where I couldn't take any more, she even accused me of throwing her into the streets. Yes, I was stabbed in the back and no this relationship will never recover.
