is AMERICA a super power in TRUE sense ???

friends after the disintegration of USSR bipolarity of world has almost come to an end. now AMERICA seeme to enjoy the position of a superpower. do u guys feel that AMERICA is superpower in TRUE sense or u feel that still there are countries who are not influenced by the image of america just see wat iraq has done by prohibiting the rule of not testing nuclear weapons and america has not done any thing to stop it.

America does not rule Iraq. That is not the purpose of America's presence in Iraq. It is to give the Iraqi people the right and knowledge to run their own country. As far as being a superpower.. what makes a superpower? I feel that America is more in a teaching role and a guardian role in Iraq.

its the perceptuion my friend.its good to think positively but the whole world knows what is going on because nobody is with close eyes. well i just asked about america being a superpower in true sense or not. so thanks for ur reply.

Technically America is the sole superpower in the world. By definition it has the economy, the military, the work force, population, and technology to be determined the most powerful country in the world. Of course with that, image isn't something you can always take to heart since someone has to dislike you...
