is reservation in educational system in india justified?

The government of India has decided to increase the reservation to the people belonging to scheduled castes and scheduled tribes. It has been increased to 50 % in the engineering and medical college entrance examinations. Actually this has been done only to increase their vote-banks.

Reservation is good or bad is not the question.It should be given to the correct people is important.I think economic reservation is better than reservation based on relegion.

Well i also think that economic religion is far more better than reservation based on religion. But the percentage should not be so much high. There are many students who appear for engineering exams and medical exams every year. They all toil hard very much preparing for the entrance exams. If they are not given chance just because of these reservations then it is really very bad.
