Do you listen to Jpop? What are your favorite bands?

Despite being mocked for having no taste (or the deterioration of it), I've been downloading a lot of Jpop lately. Oh, Japan. Why is your music so bouncy-happy? It melts my brain. :D
I like ARASHI, in particular; if you're in the mood for something cheerful and catchy, try listening to Sakura Sake, I believe the video's on youtube.

here's the evolution of where i get my Japanese music:
1. animes - i watch animes like bleach and naruto then get hooked on their soundtrack. if you'd want to listen to some of their songs, you can download some from www.bleachexile.com and www.narutofan.com
2. jdorama - same with anime, i listen to songs from the japanese drama's soundtrack. and most times, the drama that i watch stars japanese pop idols - so i listen to their songs too.
3. i also find some songs and videos of these artists in youtube. for starters, you can check out videos of these artists in youtube and see if you appreciate them:

Hmmm.. Yeah I'm being mocked too.. But nothing's gonna stop me for loving jpop and jrock music! Heehee..
I like listening to Gackt, Larc en Ciel, Arashi, V6, Siam Shade (from Samurai X).. I also like singers Chihiro Onitsuka, Ayaka, Utada Hikaru, Mika Nakashima, YUI, melody, Ayumi Hamasaki... Currently addicted to Gackt and Larc en Ciel
I love Arashi because of Matsujun, lols! I like his solo, La Familia cuz he looks really kawaii on his video on youtube!

I love YUI too! I came to know her from the Bleach anime 5th ending theme - Life. Then I got hold of her other songs. Boy, is she good. I really wish I can play the guitar just like her! haha. Have you seen Cherry - her new single. The japanese really make great videos (PV), i must say ^__^

My friend used to mock me for listening to JPOP. But then she saw Kame and suddenly fell in love with Japan. -_-
I love the fact that Japan has happy-bouncy music. In particular, ARASHI's Happiness!, NEWS' Summer Time, Tackey and Tsubasa's Ho! Summer, Hey! Say! JUMP's Dreams Come True...

yup, Jpop is my music genre. I like it more than English songs.
and yes, I'm an avid Arashi fans. Their concerts are awesome, and their gap from singing/dancing to acting to hosting is great. You can feel the balance in their profession. I can't complain to their songs as well. They have the best voice blending in JE for me.
For female artisy, i like YUI, Yuna Ito and Mika Nakashima. I like their voices :D
Jpop (esp Arashi) completes my life.

You, friend, is on the same page with me! :D I'm a huge fan of Arashi myself! Their songs are upbeat and the song's meanings are quite touchy :D Sakura Sake's really upbeat and the video's quite amusing XD

I honestly used to hate JE a lot before XD I can't stand the super colorful costumes but ARASHI totally changed my way of thinking. They can be dorky, cute and cool all at the same time XD I do listen to JPop way before I'm an Arashi fan. Utada Hikaru to be exact and I do listen to a lot of JRock. L'arc and Gackt my faves! :D I love Arashi's "Gorimuchuu" :D

I like Tokio (my fave song : sorafune), L'Arc~en~Ciel (Laruku).
If you like Arashi, you should listen to W'inds (they have a cool dance ^_^)
On this spring (2007), Laruku will release a new single called "SHINE". If you a big fans of Laruku, you should buy their new single

I like Jpop too! I listen to quite a lot. Years before i started listening to songs by Arashi and Kinki Kids since I am a fans of them. But now I listen to more japanese artists' songs. Recently I like Kobukuro a lot, don't know if anyone know it? Their songs are really touching. Also, I started to love Orange Range years ago, after watching their MusiQ live concert DVD. It was really amazing!

haha- i like the "despite being mocked" line.. yeah, i do get mocked a lot also and yeah i like Arashi a lot. i love wish and love so sweet- both from Hana Yori Dango. Happiness is also nice. Blue is also a nice ballad. In all fairness they have nice songs!! But I also like Taro Hakase, the violinist, Otsuka Ai and Angela Aki.

i am just starting to be hooked on j-pop music so i don't have much knowledge about it now. but i have to say that i love ARASHI. i love matsujun, that's why. i tried listening to some of their songs and i kinda enjoyed it.
despite the fact that my friends keep teasing me for supporting a "boyband" i don't care much. i love listening to their sound and there's no stopping me.
i also like Larc en Ciel (did i get teh spelling right?), i like Hyde, the vocalist. he looks so much like a woman now than when they first started. but i like his voice so much. i also like their music videos, they are high-budgeted and usually really nice to watch because of the setting and the effects.
maybe you could recommend more j-pop bands to listen to? :-)

I also listen to Jpop and a little bit of JRock music. I agree that Jpop music are so catchy - i love singing along with them, especially the anime theme songs. I also love ARASHI. XD I've watched Sakura Sake in youtube and boy was the video so nice! Japanese make really good videos, IMHO. =)
P.S. I also like their new single Love So Sweet because it's the theme song from Hana yori Dango 2. XD
