What would be in your bag?

My son had to make a 'me bag' for a college speech class. In a lunchbag he had to place five items that represented him such that others would 'get to know him' without words! What five items would be in your bag? (pictures of yourself were not allowed)

What a great discussion as usual! Five items in my bag would be:- 1. A picture of my daughter - my passion in life! 2. A photo of my friends - without them I wouldn't be the person I am today! 3. A Shoe - I love shoes! 4. A Pentagram - To represent my beliefs 5. A miniature car - For the passion in my life You didn't say what 5 items would be in your bag!

Hi Bizzie, yes, I forgot to say with my original post, but villageanne reminded me. My bag contents are posted under hers as a comment. There would have been so much more I would have liked to put in my bag...but only 5 made it hard! I too would have liked to put a shoe in my bag! I love them!

A picture of my kids. A picture of my husband in his Navy uniform. My Bible. Any book in my collection to hopefully show that I'm a reader. And a pic of my friends. Wow, that is such an interesting assignment. I would have loved to do something like that when I was in college!

1. My conch shell from my home state. 2. A picture of my seven children....they are my life. 3. A picture of my dad...he is who helped shape me to who I am today. 4. Something celestial that has stars and moons...that I love surrounding myself with. 5. And then I would probably stuff our mini dachshund in the bag because I don't go anywhere without her. Besides, she would probably fit anyways...she is a whole 3 lbs! LOL Hey, that was pretty good! Tough...but good!

I'd put in: A dragon statue, because I collect dragons and feel a strong spiritual connection with them. One of my Japanese action figures, because I collect them and it also shows that I'm a fan of anime/manga/Japanese video games. A Stephen King book, because he's been the greatest influence on my writing and has inspired me to reach for my full potential. My hand carved spirit pipe, because I'm a smoker and I also use herbal blends in meditation. A stuffed badger, because badgers are my totem animals and represent my personality better than any other animal out there.

Themis, Goddess of Justice - Themis, the Goddess of justice. She symbolises truth and justice.
A heart to represent the love I have for my family and friends. A picture of Themis, Goddess of Justice to show my conviction to equality in the world. A book by Dewey, one of my favourite philosophers. A photo of myself laughing, as I love a good laugh. A gag, as sometimes I don't know when to keep my mouth shut!!!

Hmm this is a tough one. I would put in the bag: 1. A recording of the first hour upon awaking. 2. A picture of my family. 3. A picture of my friends with disabilities. 4. My Journal 5. A pictue of my pets. I don't think it would say it all, but it's the best I can come up with in a short amount of time...lol

I would turn on my digital recorder so they could hear all the ruckus of the animals when I get up..lol It's the same every day. I come out of the bedroom quickly hit the button on the coffee machine as the dogs begin to bark and whine. Then I quickly let them out so I can pee. Before I can get out of the bathroom the bird is yelling "hello, hi, you alright, want out, got it, Hi Mara Mari, step up, up up, come one let's go, step up... then she begins to scream because I still haven't got in there...I have to let the dogs in.. Maybe a video tape would have been better ...lol I've taped it before..it is quite comical for others to listen to..not me however..lol

OMG, I would pee myself laughing! (Of course, I'm sure it is no longer funny to you!) that is great! I didn't realize that your bird was one that spoke. How awesome. I've always wanted a talking bird, but I know better than to get one. God knows what my crzy husband and son would teach it. For sure no one from the church would be able to visit!

I ran out of items. I wanted my pets pictures in my bag too. What does you first item mean? (a recording of the first hour upon awakening?)

I would have to have a little plastic horse, a macaroni necklace that one of my kids made for me, an SPCA button, cookies or other baked goods and last but not least my wedding ring.

Kudos for the GREAT question!! My bag would contain: - a family picture: because my family is the most important thing to me. - an ultrasound picture of my unborn child: he's due in March. - a horseshoe: this has two purposes, the first to symbolize my love for my horses and the second to symbolize the fact that I feel "lucky" to have been blessed with the life I have. - my SLR camera: because photography is my passion. - a small bottle with some sand in it: to show that I'm from Hawaii.

A picture of my son, my dogs, the other 1/2, (I guess that could be one item), a paint brush, a cookbook - a crockput one would be best, a blade from my scroll saw, and an interior design book.

i would have a picture of my family as they are very important to me, i would also try to sneek in a picture of my boyfriend as well! I would also include a textbook on I/O psychology as that is what my Masters is in. I would include a map of my state, as I feel being from the detroit area really helps identify who I am, including what music I listen to and how I feel about certain issues. I would include a beauty product to symbolize my part time job and my hobbies lastly, i would include a world map with all the places I've been to marked off to show how traveling has impacted me.
