pet insurance, is it worth it?

After hearing about friends and family member's woes about the price of a vet and vet care for their beloved pet, I got to wondering about pet insurance. Is it readily available? Do you have it? Has it saved you money? ...wondering

I dont know anyone who has pet insurance. We always take our pets to the vet. We keep their shots up to day and we have them neutered. We do take care of our pets but we do not have pet insurance. I know it is available but it is expensive.

I think that it is a waste of money to be honest. You pay all that money all their lives and then when they get ill the insurance doesn't even cover all the treatment that they need, or they will only pay up to a certain amount.
