Hi! I've seen ads in FAMA magazine about lighting that helps bring out the true colors of fish. I see my blue tetras are deep purple in places and very pretty. I also have tequila sunrise guppies with brightly colored tails. Does anyone know about using lighting to bring out the colors of the fish to make them stand out more? Thanks!

Yes lighting helps to enhance colour visuality of fish. But if you have real water plants in the aquarium then its main purpose is to keep plants alive. for this you have to switch on your light for 14 hours a day.

Hi! Thanks for the response! The reason I don't have live plants is because my fish would eat them. They wouldn't be around for very long! :-)
