Is the lottery worth the gamble?

I am part of a syndicate and a pay a weekly subscription for the lottery (go to www.earnmoreonline.co.uk to join my syndicate). I was just wondering whether you feel that it is worth the gamble. The odds are extremely high, yet we all play the lottery with the dream of winning the ultimate multi million pound jackpot. I am thinking of ending my subscription, as it seems to be a waste of money which could be spent better elsewhere. Do you play the lottery? Have you ever won big? is it a waste of money, or is healthy to just dream?
