Patches the Horse acts like human. He is watching TV, talking on the phone and sleeping in bed. Check the video: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-1981933582230043962&q=mylot&hl=en It reminds me old movie “Mr. Ed”

Yes I think as long as you take up enough time training an animal they can reason to some degree. I have had dogs that were smarter than some humans. It just takes a lot of patience and training on our part. I think this horse has his owners well trained just like my dog. LOL Very good video.

There is no question that animals think. We just can't understand thier laungage so tend to consider them lesser creatures. I sometimes think we are the lesser creatures. At least animals don't kill each other for the fun of it. These guys have taken togetherness to an extreme however don't you think. LOL

I don't know, but I recently had a cross between a Great Dane and a Dalmatien, and I'm sure he knew what I was thinking. He wasn't allowed in the house, but it wouldn't have surprised me to see him settle down and watch TV.

Certainly does remind you of Mr Ed lol Bhoy! That takes me back some years lol I had a horse myself when I was in my teens through to my mid 20's But he never slept in the bed nor ate meat! He was correctly fed on corn and other good things, carrots and apples chopped into his food too that he loved! Would love another horse, but my health has got that it would not be possible to keep another one. So now just settle for looking at them in a field or something, maybe go to a local equestrian show to watch and suport the others Lynn-Marie

I think that's cool, but I think it's very bad that they're giving him burgers, the meat surely can't be good for him at all!! But that was an interesting video! I'd never seen a horse like that before ;) thanks for sharing.

I checked the video. Horses can be trained well. I do not think it can be more. But it is welltrained, no doubt.

well, it is a bit too much calling a horse A PET!!!, don't you think so? I could hardly imagine a hotel housing my little horse travelling with me...Anyway the video is so funny!!!! Horses are very special animals...when I was a little child I was definetely crazy about horses and so my father took me to a horse school and I learned how to ride...unfortunately it was too far from our home and I had the school and the piano and...I had to give up But i still love horses even though I won't call any of them a pet of mine...I think they are very clever and can share feelings with us like pet do...horses are important for me as a neurologist because I sometimes suggest to try horsetherapy...it is very useful for some of my patients!!! Oh I wish I could ride again....maybe today I am having a walk at Villa Borghese and have a look at the beautiful horses they have there...

Now it gets interesting....therapy with horses has been around for ages...however this is somthing I didn't learn in my medical school. For sure children with autism and often struggle to communicate, but put them with horses and they can achieve so much.
