I just cannot believe that someone would even try and get away with something like this. True story in Washington. A lady takes her dog to a groomer and notices that he is whiney and not himself afterwards. As she's trying to comfort him, she notices that his one ear seems stiff for some reason. So she bathes him...........AND HIS EAR FALLS OFF!! Apparently the groomer had cut the dog's ear off and tried glueing it back on! Excuse me...but did they really think that the owner wouldn't notice that?!? Plus, the dog had to be treated for an infection because of that. Has anyone else ever had a bad experience with their pet? Thankfully I have not, but this one just blew my mind away.

Oh my God - are you serious about this? I'd have to say that's one of the most ridiculous and horrible stories I've ever heard. What kind of a groomer would cut off a dog's ear in the first place, nevermind the whole gluing-it-back-on business. Thankfully, nothing like that has ever happened to me either!

I truly hope that that groomer is run right out of business! I'm not sure I would have the presence of mind not to go after that person as I love my dog like a child. I can't believe that the groomer didn't get the dog medical attention immmediately!

Geeesh! I can't help thinking some stitches wouldn't have worked a little better! It kinda sounds like an urban legend, but I suppose it's entirely possible someone could be that totally stupid!! Poor doggie!

This is awful! I would sue the pants off of that groomer. How ignorant that person must be to think they could do something like this and actually get away with it. This is sick!

I've never had any problems at all with the care of my pets but this is absolutly horrible. I would think the dog owner may have grounds to sue, I don't usually encourage that because I think there are way to many silly suits but that poor dog, how could anyone do something like that and not seek treatment for the dog rather than cover it up, or try to cover it up.

That is horendous! The groomer should never be allowed near an animal.! My dog groomer cut two of my newty-dogs nais so short that they beld, she then put yellow powder all over them to stop the bleeding and ruined my jeans, Needlesss to sya she has never had her nails trimmed since.

I just can't imagine someone thinking they could get away with something like that. That poor little dog needed treatment from their mishap(?) and instead they were trying to cover it up. I think they are in the wrong business if they have no more feeling for the animals they are grooming than that. That is terrible. I hope the pet owner sued them.

As of the last update that I've heard, the grooming place has been shut down. But other than that, I don't know of anything that has happened to the actual groomer.

I am trying not to laugh because it is a messed up situation but honestly, is someone not going to notice a dogs ear falling off? Then to try and glue it back on, that is just wrong. Accidents do happen and I am sure it would have been a totally different situation if the groomer had called and said that there was a mishap but to try and glue it back on ... that's is something worth going to court over.

OMG , I seriously hope he is being fired and charged for this . How could someone do this to a dog . How drunk was he to cut the dogs ear off . I can't believe this things people will try to get away with these days . That is just totally sad to think what that poor dog must have felt and the owner must have been so upset to realize her pet had been so mistreated when she was only trying to do something nice for her pet .

The groomer should have been sued. It is only right to have him a day in court because he is such a dishonest guy. If indeed he had committed that much a mistake, then at least he must have consulted a vet immediately for appropriate action while notifying the owner about the incident. People must learn to face their responsibilities. In this case, it was the responsibility of the groomer to have the dog get proper medication and vet care and to notify the owner of his undoing.

OH-MY-GOD THAT IS HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!!! it is just plain inhuman to do something like that and then try to cover it up!!!!! the owner of that dog must be furious!!! if anyone EVER did that to one of dogs they would be out of a job so fast that it would make there head spin!!! i would sue them 4 animal cruelty it is against the law to be cruel to animals they could go to jail 4 that. that just gets me so mad that anyone would be lame enough to do some thing like cut a dogs ear off and then try to cover it up by gluing the ear back on!!! it is just horrid!!!

How horribly cruel, And to hide and cover it up and let the animal suffer that way. They should be sued for cruelty to animals and shut down. Poor little dog.

I have never had that happen to me either, but I would think that animal abuse charges should be filed against the groomer. That has to be considered abuse, to cause physical damage to an animal and not seek medical care for it and then try to cover it up. I can't believe the stuff people do nowadays. I hope the dog is fine..

Are you serious? This is outrageous. What on earth are people thinking, first of all to be so careless that they cut off a pet's ear, but then to be so irresponsible to not even tell the owner about it? W hat is this world coming to. Increase my paranoia... I'll never leave my dog alone anywhere, ever!

That is just aweful. How could they think they could get away with that. That dog groomer must not of been very good at his job to cut the ear off of it. Very irresponsible on his part. Never had the experience of something like that happening. I would say the groomer would have to pay for dog medications and more for doing something so aweful.

That's just awful, I would be traumatized, I'd never take my dog to a groomer again. The poor thing. Some people are just plain mad, they seem to have no intelligence whatsoever. I hope the person that did that gets sued and a very good fine, they must learn to pay for their incredibly stupid actions especially when they can cause pain to others!
