Grocery Spending

How much do you spend a month on groceries? Do you keep track of it, or just spend as you please? We budget $130 a month for food and household items (paper towels, tp, laundry soap, light bulbs, shampoo, etc.) I'm really careful, watching for sales and such, so I'm able to add items to the pantry as well. What sorts of things do you do to cut grocery costs? Do you clip coupons, watch for sales, buy in bulk, garden? I'd love to hear your ideas and tips, and I'd be willing to share my own if anyone is interested!

Wow $130. Is it just you and your spouse? In our house we can go through that much in a week. I try to clip coupons and watch out for sales and buy paper towels, toilet paper and my meats in bulk. This saves a little bit, but we always spend alot at the grocery store especially if my husband comes.

I have a budget and I stick to it very strickly. I cut all kinds of coupons to unsure that I stay under budget at the end of the month I split the money in half some into a savings account and the rest I get myself something nice.
