Hi kabayan thank you for dedicating this discussion to our filipino seafarer they are indeed our new breed of heroes. My husband is a seafarer for 8 years now and he is also a member here in myLot just recently lucky enough that he has a internet connection onboard and have the spare time to do posting as a means of his relaxation time after work. Seafarers have lots of contibution to our economy and keeping the peso strong against the dollar thru thier remittances. Their sacrifices and experiences onboard varies from one port to another and what made them happy is thru constant communication with thier wife, childrens and friends.

My fathers a seafarer and he lived a life almost away from us, just to provide for our needs and give us proper education. I am very proud of him, that's why I always try my best for him to appreciate what I can also do for him in return. It's always good to know that others appreciate what sacrifices they in order to help our country in many ways. BTW are you also a seafarer, or you have a relative that's also a seafarer? Thanks for the dedication..

Neither, my friend... but I talk to seafarers almost everyday. You have a reason to be proud of your father, as we do the same.
