Do you like making friends online through chatting?

I know some people who always make friends through chatting and they are not afraid to meet online friends through chatting. Do you think it’s okay to meet friends through chatting and meet them in person? Have you done this before? Why yes and why not?

I've done this a fair few times. I've met four people that I initially met online - one of them being my husband to be. I actually moved a third of the way around the world to be with him. I think the thing to remember with meeting people from online, is always ALWAYS arrange to meet in a public place, and always make sure two people know where you're going and roughly what time you expect to be back. So long as you follow some simple guidelines, meeting people you met online isn't a huge issue - the ones I met online and then met in person are now some of my closest friends.

Good for you that you met true friends through online for they said it is very dangarous but you are right that if you are going to meet online friends on person that make sure there are other people know that meeting it is a good defense. Thanks for your response.
