It can happen. It has for me. I met my partner online in a chatroom. We admitted we had feelings for each other in April 2004, in May 2004 we got together, we met in August of 2004 and now we're planning our wedding for April 2008. It does happen, but for a lot of people, when they finally meet up, they just don't seem to be compatible. It's a shame because people can and do get hurt by this, but if you don't take a risk and find out, how will you ever know whether it could work or not? Its better to take the chance rather than say "what if?" for the rest of your life. I moved a third of the way around the world to be with my man, and if I had to, I'd do it all again.

It happened to me, years back. After one year of chatting in the net, we met personally. Started from there, got mutual understanding but that's just about it. Didn't turned out the way we want it to be. . . Case to case basis you know.
