How do i become a Vegetarian?

Hi there! Ok, sounds like a dumb question - just avoid meat, right? What I really mean is I love my meat too much! While I feel guilty about the killing of life, maybe I'm too divorced from the actual act of killing that I don't feel guilty enough! Watching "Fast Food Nation" was an eye-opener.... Any advice how I should make the transition from "carnivore" to vegetarian? How long is a realistic time-frame to become vegetarian? Any advice is most welcome! Cheers! If you love meat, but feel guilty about how the main stream meat industry handles things, you can always switch to free range, organic meats. The animals are well cared for, well fed, and humanely slaughtered. It's the only meat I'll eat - I respect that these animals were raised for my own health and life, and I respect that they've made a sacrifice for me. Animals are here for us to eat. As long as the whole process is one of respect and understanding, you shouldn't feel guilty.

Hi misskatonic, Wow, thanks, I really love your response! Nice to see things your way.... Pity though it isn't easy getting organic meat where I live...... Thanks, really appreciate your response! Cheers! Andre www.theultimatesuccessmanual.com

I don't think guilt is a good reason to become a vegetarian. Health reasons make much more sense to me, and the benefits are real, as long as you inform yourself enough about ways to compensate for the lack of protein and other disadvantages of a meatless diet. Me, I love the good ol' meat too much to be able to give it up. =P

Yup, haha, meat tastes too good to give up! Health is of course also an always-important consideration. Cheers! Andre
