Single Parent Programs

I have been a single parent now for 12 years. I have struggled because I have a job which pays very little, yet I don't qualify for any programs because they say I make to much money. I have worked all of my life and paid taxes now that I need help, I can't get it. If anyone knows of programs out there that may help single parents with any financial aid, please let me know. Thanks so much

I was in the same situation as you and brought my daughter up on my own. Because I always worked I didn't qualify for any assistance and it was a real struggle. Unfortunately I can't give you advice because I live in the UK so I'm not familiar with your benefit system but posting on here might bring it to someone's attention who does know! Good luck anyway.
