Optical fibers... are long, thin strands of very pure glass about the diameter of a human hair. Optical cables...Optical fibers are arranged in bundles to form optical cables,these r used to transmit light signals over long distances. The underlying principle behind optical fibers is the physics concept of total internal reflection.
