A friend sent me this message recently.. Man and barber are talking. Barber: God doesn't exist because if there's God there will be no suffering. The man didn't reply to avoid arguments, then left the shop. Outside, he saw a beggar with long dirty hair. The man went back. Man: You know, barbers don't exist. Barber: Can't you see i'm a barber? Man: If barbers exist, there would be no man with long dirty hair. Barber: It's just that they don't come to me. Man: Same with God. If people will just come to him, there will be no suffering. :)

If God exists, why do we question his existance?

Because we are intelligent beings and we want our brains to work all the time. lol Humans tend to believe only the things they can see. God will always exist even we don't believe in Him. :)

really nice my friend. i have my own share of experiences where I know something divine has intervened and I know God really does exist. there was this certain time when i almost got mugged and when the suspect was caught the next day due to mugging and raping a girl who came just right after me I went to the station to see for myself if he was the man on the alley I saw the other night. To my surprise, it was indeed him! upon seeing him, i asked why he did not chose me to be his victim...he looked at me and said i was not alone, then why would he choose someone like me? said there was this big bouncer like guy holding my left hand. i felt goosebumps... i was with no one. i just really was afraid and prayed upon seeing that man lurking in the alley that night. i prayed to God. he was with me. and he exists. :) when i asked

Wow. Extraordinary. Does make one stop and wonder doesn't it. I have faith and I pray....not for myself but for others. Unfortunately my prayers have not been answered lately and the need is great. I won't go into the details but in this particular case the persons needs help, she has two elderly parents in their 90's, a thrift shop which doesn't make ends meet and is in debt. The persons is a practicing Catholic and she is always helping someone in detriment to her own health which is extremely frail right now. I have tried to find a way to help her financially, at least, but so far nothing has been revealed to me. It's times like this that I have my doubts. I see so many people underserving of good treatment but when they fall into a chithouse they come out smelling like a rose and each time my friend falls back she just goes deeper and deeper and I am unable to help her. Is this His justice?

I apologise for nitpicking what sounds like a miraculous story, but what about the girl who got raped? If God could intervene to answer your prayers and project some kind of presence to frighten off an attacker, why would he not help her too? If he didn't help because she didn't pray, his behavior is not unlike a person who comes across two others in burning car wreck and decides to help one and ignore the other, because only one of them asked for help. It doesn't seem very just and loving.

A person won't ask for help if he really doesn't need one. Everything happens for a reason and God won't give us something that He knows we can't do. He believes in us. We are strong because we have strong faith in Him. :)

oh thats great i would tell you anther story which every body knows-there was a man and god walking along on mud..the man can see four legs print on the mud. the man asked god, would he be there with him under any situation, he told yes. then came a happy moment, the man saw beside, the god was still walking with him...then came a difficult situation but the man now saw only two foots...he now asked god-where were you my lord when i was in difficult situation...the god answered...son i was with you, and the foot prints which you saw were mine as i held you in my arms..... this is the faith and power of god....and he would exist even if you don't believe in him...

It's actually an interesting analogy. Now lets put it into context. There are numerious African Christians living in the Darfur region who are suffering. Why hasn't God stopped their suffering? They are Christians are they not? Not godless people. What about the Etheopian Christians who are suffering through civil war in their country? They pray to God too. They "come to God." hmmm

It doesn't really matter what religion you belong to. God is good! He loves everybody, whether you believe or don't believe in Him. He's always hopeful that people will change for the better to make our world better. We are suffering because we choose to suffer. If we want God to help us, we should start helping ourselves..

there was a a teacher who was asking questions to the class to make her point. she said tommy go out side look around and when you come back in tell me what you see. tommy did as he was told. went out looked around then came back in. tommy:well teacher I saw trees and grass and a blue sky the teacher:tommy did you see GOD? tommy:no teacher:well then if you didn't see him he doesn't exist. tommy went home and thought about it and the next day responded with this tommy:teacher do you see the books? teacher:yes tommy:do you see the desks? teacher:yes tommy:can you see your brain? teacher:no tommy:then it doesn't exist.

God do exist!!! he is listening to all our prayers... and he answers to all our prayers... only thing we humans should understand that some of our prayers might be answered NO or it is just delayed.... without god, life wouldnt have started in this world.....

The story was wonderful! Yes, I am a believer in God and it really is difficult to explain (or convince) a person who is not a believer.. But the story is just a simple way of describing the presence of GOD. In the first place, i believe in GOD because i believe that we have what we have right now because of some Higher Being who have made all these. Its really difficult to explain it, its just our FAITH that keeps us strong in our convictions. Thanks for sharing the story here in mylot! God bless.

I agree with you! It is really hard to convince people especially the non-believers about the presence of God. I'm not religious.. i don't hear mass every Sunday.. i'm not even good on Christian Living Education.. i also sin.. but i'm trying my best to share what i know and do what i can. :)

I don't agree with this. If you are saved by praying to God does that mean all the people in the world are non believers or are unworthy of being saved? I am not a believer. The things I see around me question and doubt the existence of God. If I look at my self I can say That I have been blessed because I have a wonderful life and a believer. If that was the case then I would family with me. But that doesn't mean I got this all by a being a special person then I would have to think that all the people suffering in this world have only themselves to blame. My greatest concern is for children. You can't say a child is suffering because he didn't go to God. Can you?

He's suffering because other people made him suffer. Maybe he doesn't know God yet but we can help him believe and understand. :)

I know HE, the BIG GUY, exist. Why? Cause I'm alive and I exist, the very obvious effect of HIS lovingkindness and passion. The man is the one who make his own sufferings not HIM.
