Is anyone on here from the Black Country, England, UK?

Hello there! This is my first discussion on myLot and I thought I'd ask if anyone comes from my neck of the woods. I'm from a place known as the Black Country in the West Midlands, England. I was wondering if anybody else lives in this region and / or if anyone knows any history of the area and its people? I am particularly fond of the distint dialect that this region has held onto - ay yow me mon / wench?! It would be lovely to speak (or spake if you will) with other Black Country folk!
