EFTPOS stands for Electronic Fund Transfar Point of Sale. It means customers payfrom their accounts to the murchent acount electronically while while still in the shop (point of sale). To use EFTPOS you must have a special plastic card that is the "key" to your account and will let you access your money from merchants shop.

It means Electronic Funds Transfer at Point of Sale. When you use a debit card and enter your PIN, the EFTPOS terminal contacts the computer network (over a phone line or mobile connection) to verify and authorise the transaction. I hope that helped :)
