The next time you go to work in a bad mood, don't worry. It could be a sign you're on the way to solving a problem. Recent research shows it could be the grumpy workers who are actually a company's most creative problem-solvers. It's the happy, cheerful folks who tend to think things are going well and that there are no problems to be solved, she said. They're less likely to be pondering potential pitfalls and often don't see problems until there is a crisis.

Based on my working experience of 13 years the only thing I know about grumpy people is that they can still get the job done but it's hell working with them. They're anti-social, they can't be productive when in a group because they have their own little world. They can sometimes be disrespectful towards the ideas being shared by the group. They are effective alone but not all jobs can be done by just one person.
