I just put my son in unerwear with plastic pants over top so when he goes in his pants he can feel the wetness and realize that it is cold and unpleasant. My mother in-law puts my brother in-laws chair in the family room so he doesnt feel secluded in the bathroom.(He is only 2)Different things work for different kids. It is a trial and error thing and most of all he will tell you when he is ready! Just be patient! It will happen when you least expect it!!

Hi there...before I had my own kids I worked as a nanny and have been successful at potty training many kids. The first thing is you can't push them cuz that only makes them not like it even more. Also I would have them sit on the potty every hour hour and a half. I would bring in books and read to them while they sat. Do you have the once upon a potty bood? Or any potty videos? Those work great as well. When they pee or poop on the potty i would give them a reward...u can decide what the reward will be. Something they really like. Those things have always worked for me. Reading books is really helpful while they sit...or try and play a game. I hope this helps you!!!

I just finished potty training my son. Although, he was fairly easy. I recommend- Putting training underwear on him, and when he messes in them, have him help you wash them out. One day of that, and my son got it. If it was bm, I made him dump it in the potty, from the underwear. We had a bucket, with laundry soap (recommended outside, due to the water mess) and we "washed them". I made him go to the potty every 45 mins and "just try". Good luck

My daughter was very stubborn when it came to potty training. She was 2 weeks shy of her 3rd birthday when I finally put my foot down. She knew when she needed to go, but just wanted to stay a "baby". I put underwear on her, not the training pants. And after many accidents the first 2 days...she had had enough. She started going to the bathroom all by herself. At times I felt like it wasn't ever going to happen, but when it did everything was so worth it.

Sometimes you have to wait until the child is ready.
