-A guy looked at sky through of a telescope, but he couldn't see any star,why?

There are always stars in the sky.....even in the day time, and they can be seen with a functioning telescope.
The answer to the question is that there was either a lens cap or no lens at all.

I agree with nrnotrare, even in a clear blue sky, you still can see stars by using ordinary telescope.
The right answer should be because the lens protector wasn't open.
