What if someone broke your heart?

I was just wondering about this, what if someone broke your heart? I had my heart broken once and it did not feel good at all! It felt like my heart was going to burst! So, it doesn't really feel good to get your heart broken... Its usually about girl/boy trouble. Usually they'll do something that will hurt us very much!
Say, what if your girlfriend/boyfriend dumbed you for your best friend? How would you feel? How would you react to that? If it was me, I would probaly get revenge, though it won't be the best thing to do... Well, how would you react to this kind of situations? Or any other situation that you found critical to you?

I would tell them off and never speak to either one of them again.
A) If this person was my best friend, they would have told me and never followed through with their feelings without discussing them with me. Who wants a friend they can't trust?
B) He didn't love me or care about me if he did that. He isn't worth my time anyway.
