oxidation

This is where my chemistry lessons come in handy..hehe. Oxidation occurs when electrons are lost. We were given a little "saying" to help us remember what it's called when electrons are lost and when they're gained~~~ LEO says GER which means LOSS of ELECTRONS= OXIDATION and GAIN of ELECTRONS= REDUCTION.
