Inventor of the Remote Control is dead

I just read where the inventor of the TV remote control died today. That's really sad, as he had over 181 patents issued to him during his life! And without him, we'd still be having to get up and change the channels by hand!

Remember those days? We had an old console TV with twisting dials (before push buttons even!) and a babysitter who was obsessed with the soaps. She broke the dial flipping between the three main storylines and was fired by my dad that night!

This guy is someone who can truly say he changed the world for the better. Not many people can ever say that. Now if only he could have given us better content on all those channels we can flip through. ;)

hi,Its really,sad.Invention of TV,is one side and invention of remote makes all the world,to enjoy TV,more easily.We can't assume seeing TV without remote.

He has sure made an impact on all of our lives .. I can't imagine being without my remote ..isn't that funny how quickly we become accostumed to such things... I ahve always wondered how people like him came up with the ideas he had ..that in its self is amazign to me ... thanks for leting us know he is gone ....
