Bob Dylan

I love Dylan he is one of my favourite singers of all times. Hes one of the best poets out there and is up there with John Lennon and Paul McCartney in terms of songwriting. Dylans voice and style has always been in the 40s and 50s style. He basically wanted to be a song and dance man rather than "the voice of a generation" which he has refused to adhere to.

I met Bob Dylan in Toronto, I think he was in that city filming a movie. He came into the bar where I was drinking that day, and sat at the bar with 4 amazon bodyguards. I glanced over and recongnised him immediately. He had this aura about him. I told the bartender to ask if he would like a drink, she did and poured a Ballentines on the rocks. He saluted and invited me to speak with him. I did and thought it tacky to ask for an autograph, now i tell my friends this story, and get an " oh sure" response. How could i obtain an autgraph and possibly ask if he remembers this as well.

Me too, old that is. I know Bob wrote hundreds of songs but can't for the life of me think of one right now. I do know he wrote several songs that Sonny and Cher recorded and I think Peter, Paul, and Mary too. Do you know what his real name was? Bob Zimmerman! I always remember that because in school my best friend had a cruch on a teacher, Mr. Zimmerman. I always laughed at the name.

I heard he will be coming to Greenville South Carolina. I really hope he does. I will be at that concert.

I've pretty much listened to Bob since I started listening to music. I think that he may be a better song writer than singer, but he has a flair with his music. I think that he, and Arlo Guthrie are the folk singers of the last part of the 20th centery - of course, Arlo's dad, Woody, was for the first part. Bob has certainly been the more prolific of the pair.

I like Bob Dylan's songs and listenging to him on the radio. My ex-husband won concert tickets from a radio show for Bob Dylan. A friend and I went to the concert, and we did not understand ONE word he said. I thought it was me, but she said the same thing. I prefer to just listen to him on the radio, since I couldn't decipher one word in concert. :)

well. he's a great artist, nothing and noone to compare with. wonderful lyrics, lowkey instruments.

I got to see Bob Dylan in concert 3 years ago at the Bonaroo festival. We went to see him just to say we got to see him. After waiting 45 minutes in the hot sun we were getting restless. He wasn't a favorite. We just wanted to get to see him before his time comes. About 30 minutes later we were ready to go back to our campsite. Tired of waiting. He then came out. We listened to a couple of songs and left. He did write some good songs for other people that no one will ever know he wrote.

I didn't ask for an autograph and am wondering if anybody knows how to get one and if by any chance does he remember this meeting.
