It's nice to find a site that you enjoy and that actually "makes it" and grows. I've been a part of other sites that I spent alot of time at and then it just disappeared. It was sad to "lose" all the time and effort and friends made -- this place looks like it is growing daily -- I've only been here a month, and already seen some changes for the better.

Indeed it does shady. I've been apart of a few sites and felt pushed away or unaccepted. One of them i was one of the highest posters and i guess nobody got me or didn't like me lol. (i left that place only to rejoin) yeah it's a shame when sites don't make it. i've put alot of effort into mine and it doesn't seem to work and those regular poster i feel might be let down. Thanks for your reply, ~Joey

Joey, I tried myspace once and it completely screwed up my computer I had to have it reformatted. Does it work like mylot, do you get paid, or do you just make friends. I think this places are good and fun and can help lonely people as well. For some people it is not about money and that is good too.

I love myspace. It's a great place to be. I like mylot too. The internet has changed so much from when I first got a computer maybe 10 years ago. It use to be the only thing that I would go online for was to find information about something, and then that could even be difficult. I would NEVER purchase anything, NEVER talk to people, NEVER think of making my living from the comfort of my home office. Now, it seems the internet connects me to the world. and the world seems like a much smaller place. I have hits on my website daily from around the world, Japan, Great Britian, Austraila, Russia, you name it they are connecting with me. I shop online and will continue to do more of my shopping online, and am finding ways to make my living online. It's truly not the same world as it was even 5 years ago. O yes, and let's not forget talking to people and meeting great folks online which 10 years ago I would have never wanted to do.

i think orkut is getting better since its start.they have put in a lot of options like where you can add a video, respond directly from our scrap book instead of going into the other scrap book and entering it there.they are improving it with time and there are a lot of upcoming options there too.

It is interesting to see websites grow. I think it's the element of wanting to back an underdog all the time - who can say they love ebay now - it's a monster! It's the winner at the moment, and there looks like no viable competition. But look at websites like www.tazbar.com, really trying hard to establish themselves in the online auctioneering market, and you'll quickly find a loyal following is developing. If this website, as many other underdogs, were to become popular, however, the loyalty would most likely be lost, as the company becomes fully established and doesn't necessarily rely on loyal folk for its promotion. That's the way I see it.

Don't laugh, but I've never heard of myspace, is it some sort of blog site? Yes I do enjoy interactive sites where I can make friends, chat about absolutely anything and everything, it makes the site more personal when you can talk to others. I used to belong to a consumer site here in the UK and we actually had big conventions where we all met up, it was real fun, meeting people you've talked to online face to face! It was a wonderful experience and I went to several conventions around the UK. I know it couldn't happen with worldwide sites like this one but it's good to see sites that grow and you are part of it.

It always nice to know when sites do change for better improvements and be more accessible for the users, it's always done for the sake of members in it. It only shows that they are doing it for the convinience and as a treat to their loyal patrons. I've never visited my friendster account lately because I'm kind of busy here, mylotting!;) I saw the changes weeks ago and it really is a good change for me, the site now is more viewable than what it used to be then. They are using more light background colors that is very clear for our eyes to see.

I always enjoy a nice update on any site I visit a lot. I think the sites that don't survive are the ones that don't bother to keep up to date. I'm not a fan of myspace. I do have and use it on ocassion to keep tabs on my family.

I haven't been with MyLot long enough to see most of the changes it has gone through, but I have seen many sites go through major changes... some for the better and some for the worse. I remember going through a lot of changes as the internet advanced over the years since I first started using it. Wow, thinking back, things were so much different then. I don't know how we ever got along.

one website i see/saw changing was/is hi5.com...but for the worse...actually, is the users that make it suck. I mean, you wanna browse a user's profile page, you have your winamp playing your favourite song, headphones on, max volume, and, suddenly, you hear another song, maybe one you don't like AT ALL. That sucks! BIG TIME! + there are soooo many users that have videos on their webpage, and, when that page loads (especially if u have a slower pc), the browser freezes. THAT'S ANNOYING!!!!!!!!!! Not to mention all those "smart" people that choose black as the colour for the writing and black for the background... geez!
