I am seriously contemplating moving to live in France or Spain. My internet is very important to me in that more and more of my earning opportunities are on line. I understand French and am learning Spanish but would like to hear from anyone who knows the REALITY of the internet in Spain. Is the service reliable, is it expensive, is it easy to obtain and maintain? I think others who live in the UK would also be interested in these answers, so if anyone has experience of using the internet in Spain or France please could you report on your experience?

Goodie! Thank you for letting me know. France as a part time residence is very likely, so do you know any good ISP over there, hosts etc please?

Thank you for those, they are very helpful indeed, and it does look as if we shall be channel hopping very soon. Do you know if lap tops work well in France also?

My sister-in-law lives in Spain. She's been there a few years now and doesn't seem to have any problems with computer connection, as she's always chatting on Yahoo. What it's like to earn money, I don't know but I would imagine you can get the English and American sites just the same, there, as you can here. Most sites cover the English language. Other than asking my sister-in-law, that's as far as I can help my friend, but I'm sure you'll have no worries. She even took her English computer with her. It means she has to send it to England for repairs but she's not short of a few bob, so it doesn't worry her too much. Good luck with your language learning and your move, if you decide definitely to make it. The sun will be good for your health. :-)

Thank you! I still would love to go to Spain permenantly and I am going to continue with learning Spanish, but France looks more likely at the moment, as there is a new super station being built up the road from me which would take me straight there. I have schoolgirl French and I am going to be brushing that up, after all, it is all right asking the time, but you have to be able to understand the answer lololol the old jokes are the best lol. I know Gabs will peep at this, so don't worry old girl, it will only be part of the year!
