A lot of people that i know doesnt like math and cannot seem to grasp the simpliest concepts in algebra. Are you one of those people? why? What is it in math that you dont like?
"Anyone who cannot cope with mathematics is not fully human. At best he is a tolerable subhuman who has learned to wear shoes, bathe, and not make messes in the house"
(Robert Heinlein)

Mathematics is the only subject where one can obtain a perfect score. I am ever grateful to maths for pulling up my grade point average way above what my work levels would normally obtain me.
Algebra is my thing. Calculus and trignometry float my boat as well. But crypto-metics is where I am going.
Cheers.

Thanks cdparazo, Maths does it all the time! Even here.
I have been blessed with inspiring teachers, and sometimes that makes a huge difference.
Cheers!

I do agree that a lot of people actually dislike it. In fact I know a lot of them too. This reminds me of a preface from a Math module which I've read: "Many students all over the world suffer from mathemaphobia - the fear of Mathematics."
But I certainly have no mathemaphobia. Math had always been my forte, since elementary until college, math subjects always pulled my grades up...
I guess there are people who just aren't that blessed to deeply understand mathematical concepts, so Heinlein might have been too harsh in concluding that it is subhuman to not cope with math completely.
Henri Poincare said: "Math is not appreciated because of its applications but it is its BEAUTY that makes it special."
This math adage is what I believe in - there really is a natural beauty in Math.. That's why I like it... That's why I love it..... B-)

The beauty of math is only seen by few people such as you. So the saying that 'beauty is in the eye of the beholder' holds true for math...and like anything that has beauty, it is not also apprecciated by everyone. Thanks for such very good response my friend!

What I don't like in math is Geometry cuz I never liked to do those proving things but what i like is Trigonometry

I think that you can certainly be fully human without having any knowledge of mathematics.
I think though it is helpful to know maths that will help you in life, like managing your accounts etc, but I don't see much need to know algebra even though I do I have never used it since school.
