Neural or 3D Processing

I'm not sure where to put this as it is my first time here. This idea has been bouncing around in my head for a few days now, so I thought Iwould put it here just as a little food for thought. If someone wants to delete it or criticize me, so be it.We now have parallel processors and they are talking of 8 or 16 cores. How about 3D processing say 8 cores by 8 cores , or neural processing where say 128 different cores are so integrated that they are almost indistinguishable from own another? With 3D processing you could have multiple cores working on the same program instead of each core running a different thread or process. Neural processing excites me the most. With neural processing say a process started to run than it came to a decision point and it could split to multiple cores solving the next step using multiple methods (processes) in parallel with one another, maybe even looping back to a the same processor that started the program. This way either the fastest result could be used or multiply results could be blended to get variable results for an artificial intelligence program. I believe this will be the first step to a true thinking machine.
