No your Personal computer is not compatible for Windows Vista installation. I suggest its better to have at least 1 GB Ram. And a processor which is p4 and 2 GHz. That i suggest can be good experience for you.

Woow WIndows Vista.. what a hot subject i can say. I have talked a lot in my area with many of my friends and all of them had only positive thoughts about it. I can say that i was blow off by this new windows system. Some things certainly lack to it but this new look which Microsoft has incorporated in it certainly do the money you would give for it. I have waited this new system for 2 weeks and here i am using it. It was pretty hard for me to buy it because in my area it can't be found. So i had to ask a friend from another part of my country to order me. I am so happy using it and all i have are only words of gratitdue. I post here a short description about VISTA. Windows Vista contains hundreds of new features; some of the most significant include an updated graphical user interface (GUI) and visual style dubbed Windows Aero, improved searching features, new multimedia creation tools such as Windows DVD Maker, and completely redesigned networking, audio, print, and display sub-systems. Vista also aims to increase the level of communication between machines on a home network using peer-to-peer technology, making it easier to share files and digital media between computers and devices. For developers, Vista includes version 3.0 of the .NET Framework out of the box. The .Net Framework makes it significantly easier for developers to write high-quality applications than with the traditional Windows API.

well it depends on which version of vista you want to install but all versions need at least 512mb and the ultimate needs atleast 1gb of ram yes that is alot and also ultimate needs a very good video card like a nvidia or radeon 9600. so all you basically need is ram :)

i read on a pc newspaper that the minimum adviced of RAM for a pc to run the new Windows Vista is 512kb but talking with a n electronic engineer friend of mine he said that the RAM had to be no less than 1Gb...so i think first of all you have to change the RAM memory

Well, your ram kills you, also you could spend a bit in a more powerful processor. Vista is a very VERY heavy OS. And as said before in this discussion, it needs a separate graphics card, otherwise it will run extremely slow. To have Vista in an enjoyable way, you need at least 1 GB RAM (about 150 USD), 2.8 Ghz Processor (about 300 USD), and a graphics card of 128 mb (don't know the cost of this one). The very minimum requirements you would need in your computer, would be just double the RAM, another 256 RAM card, which costs about 40 USD. When buying RAM, make sure you know what your computer uses, SRAM, DRAM, SDIMM, DIMM... Otherwise you'll end up spending in something you can't use.
